Heating Green designed and supplied Enerjoy suspended ceiling panels used for six different pre-manufactured buildings that were joined together on site. Kwina Village Apartment Project – Lummi, WA

Earlier this year, Heating Green helped complete the 12 building/72 unit apartment project for the Lummi Tribal Nation, Kwina Village Apartment Project in Lummi WA.

336 Enerjoy radiant panels were installed along with manual thermostats to allow individual temperature control of each room within a given apartment, which ranged from approximately 500-650 square feet.

Landsem Architects in Bellingham, WA designed the project and suggested that the Enerjoy panels would be beneficial for the housing authority to install as they require no maintenance and also take up no usable space. Whole house project – Marriott Homes, – Sudden Valley, WA

The finishing touches are being put on this house, which borders a creek in the backyard, and has our Enerjoy radiant heating panels in each room. The owner, Jake Marriott, used all of the hardwood trees on site for the flooring, trim, and even the kitchen cabinets! Kwina Village Apartment Project – Lummi, WA

This past fall, another local Bellingham, WA contractor had approached me with a unique project that would need some heating panels. The artist was dividing a horse barn into a studio area where she could work on her paintings and the remaining area may be a studio and/or a workshop in the future.

The results were great! The space warms up quick, the heaters are out of the way, and she didn’t have to run duct work, which would potentially created dust that would disrupt her paintings.

Basement heating project

During the summer of 2010 a contractor had approached me with a basement remodel project. One of the challenges for the homeowner was whether or not they would keep and extend the current duct work, which proved to be marginal at best.

After weighing the benefits of our heating panels, they went ahead and ordered (2) 2′x6′ panels for one room (1,500 watts total) and another 2′x6′ panel for the smaller room (750 watts total). The feedback has been excellent! No noise, warm rooms, and no usable space taken up!

Workshop/woodshop project

This past fall, Smith and Vallee, a creative team of craftsmen, moved into their new, yet very old, workshop. They reused telephone poles for tongue and groove floors for their entire shop, which will help them use less heating and lighting. Wooden floors are easier on the back and much more attractive to look at as well.

They heavily insulated the walls to R24, the ceilings to R40, and even went as far as installing dense foam insulation on the floor, covered by telephone poles that they milled to help warm up the work area.

Mambo Italiano goes Green! Now that’s Italian!

Well and many of you Bellinghamsters know winter has come early this year. In an effort to combat the cold, Mambo Italiano Cafe has decided to install several infrared radiant heaters throughout the restaurant. Thanks to Jeff at www.heatinggreen.com for turning us on to this up and coming environmental friendly cure for the winter chills.
